Installing the switch
I put the operator switch for the stealth credit button in today. Here’s how it looked before:
Here are the parts I used:
It also took some solder, flux, wire, zip-ties and heat shrink tubing. But anyway, here’s the “after” photo:
Now I just have to connect the two wires coming off the switch to the 2 Player Start signal line and the Coin 1 signal line. I plan to make these connections at (or near) the main PCB harness. The 2 Player Start signal is on Pin 10 of the main PCB. The Coin 1 signal line is accessible via the 7 wire connector mounted above the main PCB on pin 1. This connector is visible in the above photo. It’s the red plug with a (dusty) black cap in the upper left corner of the photo.
I have the linear power supply disconnected from the cabinet right now, so I haven’t been able to test the switch operation yet. I just found out that my new power supply and buttons shipped on Friday, July 16th. I’m hoping they will be here tomorrow (Tuesday) so I can get this thing up and running again.
