A wonderful place to enjoy a hike, rock cropings, Mountain Laurel, ferns, pine groves, and some peace and quiet. The trails are mostly level with a few steep grades. There is also a wonderful stream and a lake for the dogs to swim in.

Westwoods is better
Timberlands is great and doesn't get a lot of traffic. That being said, the town has put up signs requiring your dog to be on leash. As such, it's probably better to go to Westwoods in Guilford.
