Holy moly.  This Boston Marshalls is WAY cooler and way better than any other Marshalls I've been to in New England.  You can tell that the merchandise there is priced accordingly for the stores location; I noticed a lot of higher end pieces, more so than any Marshalls in RI.  I love the fact that it's two floors, there's SO MUCH STUFF EVERYWHERE!  I was only able to spend 45 minutes here because I had to catch the train back to PVD, but I could've easily spent 2 or 3 hours here.  It was packed, even in the early afternoon of a weekday.  It took some time to get through the checkout line.  But that wouldn't stop me from going back!

This specific Marshalls was really enjoyable to shop at. There are multiple floors and a lot to look at. They have cash registers at the front of the store and some in the back too, so when it was busy one of the girls told us about the "secret" registers in the back, which made our lives easier.

My friend bought a few shirts here and the fitting room attendant was very nice to her, as well as the lady at the register when she was checking out.

What can you say... it's a MARSHALLS.
Nothing stands out, if you like marshalls/tj/ross dress for less, you should go.
if you normally hate these stores, you should maybe not go, or go.

I frequent this Marshalls location frequently as I work and live in the area. There is a great selection here. Only downside to this location is the long lines and crowds. It can be hard to navigate through the aisles. I can also find something to buy.

I like this Marshall's. Much agreed that this location is better than the Downtown Crossing location. It's not as dirty and messed up or disorganized.

I come here mainly for workout clothes. I can find what I need rather quickly and get my shopping done in a snap. It's convenient that it's nicely located in Copley Square.  The kitchen department is nice too. Random eclectic mix of wares for the person in need of random gadgets, funky mugs and the like. Candle selection is quite nice too.

This location always seems busy, no matter what time of day it is. In addition to kitchen wares and workout clothes, they have cute tops and shoes too. And other random things like fuzzy socks with cat faces on them (guilty) and pet foods and pet toys.

    Seriously...something for everyone!!

This store is much bigger than it looks on the outside. It has 2 floors and you can access it from the office building of 500 Boylston street.

The 1st floor has shoes, men's clothing and the cash registers, upstairs is women, children and home and NO cash registers. They have a nice selection of everything but morning or late afternoon is the best time to go. During lunch everyone in the Back Bay area stops in to check on the new merchandise.

One con I would say is there wasn't enough help/assistance from employers during this crazy time of year with the holidays. Every time I finally did find a person they couldn't assist for one reason or another. I know it's a really busy time but I've gone during non holiday seasons and had the same experience. Once at the register the employees are nice, friendly and helpful.

Also, if you don't want to go back outside you can get to Panera Bread by walking out the back door and down the hall, bonus after you're finished shopping!

This is one of the largest  Marshall I've ever see. Quite well organized,  clean and neat. They have a large baby area than other stores. Btw, they have large section of kate spade and MK bags and better price than Nordstrom rack right acorss the street.

This was a so so shopping experience. I initially went in to find a sports bra, I forgot to pack one. Surprisingly their selection was small. Most of the items in the store looked like low end returns. They also had their Christmas decorations out - a bit tacky in October.

They did have a great selection of umbrellas at very low prices. Otherwise, this is not my kind of shopping.

The boys shoe selection is two rows and mostly consists of infant shoes.  If you have a girl, come here. Boys pajamas were lacking but I happily found some footed pj's in a size 6!
Then there were robot two pieces. There were two pants and one long sleeved shirt. I could find a tag. Looked at every size in the same set. No tags. Weird. So I'm  looking through the rack and find a robot short sleeved tshirt paired with a mismatched pair of pants. Look at the tag and sure enough it says 4 piece. Lol. They must not have much training or quality control. Great deal on the 4 piece pajamas though.
When I was here before I found a bunch of nice womens suits. Didn't look today.  I would go back again.

Popped in this weekend to check out the shoe department and it was really disorganized. Shoes were placed in the wrong sections, it was very difficult to find the proper shoe to match the ones on display, and the name labels in the shoe section did not match the shoes on the shelves. It was really odd. I can only assume that this is due to a combo of the store not maintaining the area as it should and customers being lazy and not putting shoes back in the proper place after trying them on.

The home decor section is pretty good and I was able to pick up a few sweaters upstairs.

The shoe department and… I am not sure what happened to this location - it used to be my favorite. The shoe department and handbag department are sorely lacking. This used to be my go-to place when I needed a sharp pair of heels or a cute handbag, and I've gone to this location twice in a month only to have wasted my time. The handbag section is scarce save for a few Prada bags for $1000. I used to find adorable Kate Spade and Michael Kors bags here, and now? Pretty much nothing. The shoe section is ridiculously cramped - I get the point of the set-up and I like it, but the space in the aisle is tiny, and it gets too crowded for me to take a good look at what the store has to offer.

The suit section is nonexistent, but there seems to be an abundance of light and colorful Cynthia Rowley scarves.

It is a huge location, so I expect more. I'll try one more visit before I throw in my hat. I loved coming here years ago. Read more

The best thing about this Marshalls is the shoe department. I looked at a LOT of clothes, and they all seemed pretty crappy. Not much cotton in sight, almost EVERYTHING seemed to be made of rayon. Blech. Had a much more pleasant trip to the H&M across the street - too lazy to try anything on there but at least you could buy plenty of cotton clothing.

    • Listed in 2015 challenge - let's do it - again!, Let's shop

Now this is not my typical store to go to for aimless shopping. Actually, I do not even do aimless shopping. Even when I am bored to death - which, if I think about it, I never am. So how does Marshalls come in the picture? Simple. Varied set of circumstances and situations - and that list is not too big - bring me to this store, every once in a while. And they have their own set of benefits and perks

    Active wear
I go through my work out clothes rather quickly. And those are some of the things that I am always on the lookout for. Sometimes to the point of stocking them well in advance. I see this store has some reasonable choices and varieties. There have been occassions where I have been lucky and bought some good shorts and clima-cool Ts. Same goes with workout socks. Not so much for the sneakers or spinning shoes and such.

    Window Shopping
Point above aside, I am always sure of things I want and where to get them, I don't see this store as my target for those definitive needs. But I do like this particular section where we get introduced to things that are rare to find anywhere else. Having said that - I have seen that not all Marshalls have this section where you can get these ethnic sauces, scented candles, international snacks, that you rarely find at grocery stores or other places. This one in Downtown Boston is a great example.

    People Watching
Given how busy this store is - almost always, it is fun to do all the people watching. You bump into people from all walks of life. And given the design of the store and the sections spread between the 2 floors is quite on point, it really works. There are days when you are in the mood to watch some free drama and then there are those days, you just want to do plain ol people watch.

    Location
The fact this store is on Boylston St. has it's own share of positives. It is accessible by the T. Neat option for locals, people who work in downtown and Copley and tourists alike. the staff at the checkout counter is super fast - as the rest of us Bostonians, and we really like it that way. That the store is always well kept, never in a messy state, I never regret stopping here for any of my planned or unplanned shopping needs.

LOVE Marshalls. Its probably one of my favorite places! They usually have a great variety of things from houseware, clothing, purses, shoes etc. The staff is great they are very friendly and i've never had an issue with feeling like their customer service was lacking. I do however wish they carried more duvet covers. Every time i go i check the sheets section in hopes of finding one and i have yet to find one. Its also pretty big and kept very organized. No messiness here which makes shopping so much more fun!
